DEX-O-TEX TEK-CRETE
(Urethane Jointless Flooring for Abusive Service Areas)
1) PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A) Composition
Dex-O-Tex Tek-Crete is a urethane-concrete flooring which is designed for troweled monolithic application at 1/4" (6.3 mm) - 3/8" (9.5 mm) thickness. Tek-Crete functions in areas which are so abusive that most other flooring materials will not survive.
Shipped in three components - polyurethane resin, curing agent, and aggregates - Tek-Crete is job site mixed and placed in a single trowel application. Gaining its adhesion, toughness and chemical resistance from its polyurethane resin component, Dex-O-Tex Tek-Crete resists attack from most solvents, organic and inorganic acids, salts, and alkalis. Offering superior performance against hot water/steam damage, this material provides performance greatly exceeding that of epoxies.
Dex-O-Tex Tek-Crete is applied in new or existing construction. However, the material's most typical use is as a replacement floor in areas where other floors have failed.
Tek-Crete is fast-setting, can be applied over concrete (including rough and eroded surfaces), brick, metal - even surfaces which are damp at time of application.
Ideal as a renovation material, Tek-Crete sets and cures in a matter of only hours. The product can be applied in temperatures between 45°F (7° C.) to 85° F (29° C.). Typical setting times at 70° F (21° C.) are walk-on in 6 hours; return to fork-lift service in 12 hours; full set including full chemical resistance in 24 hours.
Dex-O-Tex Tek-Crete is designed for installation in high abuse areas where the requirements for physical performance greatly outweigh decorative considerations. Under demanding conditions of physical thermal heat/shock apply at 3/8" (9.5 mm) thickness.
Formulated with environmental requirements in mind, Tek-Crete is a water-based material which is virtually odorless and is completely VOC compliant with all Federal or State requirements. The product is "breathable" and can be safely installed where high rates of moisture vapor transmission would prevent the use of other flooring types.
Dex-O-Tex Tek-Crete is designed as flooring under the most rugged service conditions including food processing, canning and packing, beverage bottling, chemical processing, and constantly wet operations. The material resists steam cleaning and liquid spillages up to 275° F (135° C.). It is slip-retardant, even when wet, due to its trowel texture.
Dex-O-Tex Tek-Crete is available in several types. "TT" is trowel-applied at 1/4" - 3/8". Type "SL" is self-leveling in two applications at 1/4" overall. Types "BA" and "BQ" are applied as a slurry and have a finish of either a single color or multi-color aggregates. An additional type, "VRT" is designed for vertical applications at bases or sides of trenches.
The "TT" and "SL" are available in two colors - red and grey. Consult manufacturer for other color requirements.
Dex-O-Tex Tek-Crete will function under punishing conditions which other flooring aterials will not survive, but urethane concrete floors should not be specified unless the user fully understands and accepts that the product is functional rather than attractive.
B) Typical Uses
Food processing, canning, packing, meat cutting/fabricating, beverage bottling, pulp and paper plants, chemical processing, dairies, plating, etching, steam kettle area flooring.

| C) | (Optional) Apply primer coat over porous surfaces. Consult Crossfield Products Corp. to determine advisability. |
| D) | Trowel Tek-Crete "TT" to thickness as specified (1/4" 6.3 mm/3/8" 9.5 mm). |
Note: An optional Dex-O-Tex waterproof membrane may be installed prior to application of Tek-Crete.
4) MAINTENANCE
Textured slip-retardant surface will require specialized cleaning procedures developed by owner to meet desired maintenance level.
