DEX-O-TEX ELECTRO-FLOR
Conductive/Static-Dissipative Flooring
1.) PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A) Composition
Dex-O-Tex Electro-Flor is a troweled, jointless epoxy floor which is electrically
conductive within resistance ranges requirements for either "conductive"
(Dex-O-Tex Electro-Flor "C") or "static dissipative" (Dex-O-Tex
Electro-Flor "SD") flooring.
Typical thickness of Dex-O-Tex Electro-Flor is 3/64" (45 mils/1,05 mm). It is
available in a range of standard colors.
When specified for static-dissipative purposes it is designed to provide static-control
properties which prevent electro-static damage to electronic products and equipment. When
specified for conductive uses, Electro-Flor is designed to prevent fire or explosion of
hazardous materials. It is important that the user's static-control requirements be
clearly specified so as to insure proper conductive/static-dissipative levels.
Regardless of the floor's level of resistance, workers using the floor and equipment
resting or rolling on the floor must be connected to it by conductive footwear, ESD shoe
straps or conductive wheels. This is a requirement for all floors of these types.
Dex-O-Tex Electro-Flor is applied over concrete surfaces. For other surfaces consult
Crossfield Products Corp. Do not apply on surfaces where hydro-static pressure or
excessive moisture is present.
B) Typical Uses
As "conductive" flooring for arsenals, ammunition plants, chemical processing,
explosive hazardous areas, etc.
As "static dissipative" flooring for clean rooms, electronics manufacturing and
assembly, etc.
C) Advantages Limitations
Advantages
1. Jointless, seamless
2. Resistant to many chemicals. Contact Crossfield Products Corp. for separate chemical
resistance tables.
3. Installed by approved Dex-O-Tex applicators
Limitations
1. If sub-surface cracks move due to continued thermal flexing or building settlement,
Dex-O-Tex Electro-Flor may reflect those cracks to some degree.
2. When subjected to sustained heat above 150° F material will tend to soften although it
will reharden when cooled.

4.) PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
Crossfield Products Corp. maintains offices and factories at locations listed above.
Qualified Dex-O-Tex contractors are established in all major trading areas in the United
States, Canada, the United Kingdom and various European and Far Eastern nations.
5.) MAINTENANCE
Regular scrubbing with ordinary detergents and water flushes in between. Cycles to be
determined by type and degree of usage. Do not apply waxes, maintenance finishes, etc. as
they will block electrical contact.
6.) SPECIFICATION ASSISTANCE
Consult Crossfield Products Corp. for specification assistance and detailing. This
consultation is highly recommended prior to specification.
