Dex-O-Tex Chem-Rez "N"
Chemical Resistant Polymeric Flooring
1.) PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A) Composition
Dex-O-Tex Chem-Rez "N" is a jointless epoxy flooring which offers chemical
resistance which is very superior to that of conventional epoxy floors. Formulated using
the most advanced Novolac-epoxy chemistry, Dex-O-Tex Chem-Rez "N" produces a
tighter "cross-linking" than other epoxies. As a result, the material resists
physical attack from the spillage of a very wide range of acids, alkalis, and solvents.
Additionally, Dex-O-Tex Chem-Rez "N" offers resistance to sustained high
temperature spillages up to 250°F (120°C) and intermittent spillages up to 350°F
(178°C). (Note: Typical epoxy flooring materials soften and deform at sustained
temperature in excess of 150°F.)
Due to its specialized chemistry, Dex-O-Tex Chem-Rez "N" is premium priced
compared to conventional epoxy floors and should be used only where its superior
properties are required.
Chem-Rez "N" is applied either by trowel or broadcast method. It can be
installed at thicknesses of 1/8"-1/4" (3,1 mm-6,3 mm), depending upon service
requirements. Consult manufacturer for recommendations.
The material may be turned up at bases to form an integral coved base or to line trenches.
Dex-O-Tex Chem-Rez "N" is typically specified to include final finish filling
and sealing coats available in a range of slip-retardant profiles.
Dex-O-Tex Chem-Rez "N" is manufactured in a wide selection of colors. The
material is also available in a multi-colored decorative aggregate application finished
with clear coating. This product is known as a Dex-O-Tex Chem-Rez "N-D".
Formulated with environmental requirements in mind, Chem-Rez "N" contains no
hydrocarbon solvents and thus meets all state and local volatile organic substance
regulations.
In conjunction with a Dex-O-Tex Membrane system, Chem-Rez "N" may be utilized in
secondary containment areas.
As an option, Dex-O-Tex Chem-Rez "N" is available in the Dexcide series which
incorporates anti-microbial chemistry to control the growth of microorganisms (bacteria,
fungi, etc.) on the floor surface.
